Search Terms
A name, place, or other term entered into an embedded search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider’s policy applies to its handling of the query.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Normal web and analytics systems may record technical details when a page loads, including:
- Your Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when available.
- Date and time stamps.

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted information so that a deletion request can be reviewed.

Subject to applicable law and the limits of data actually held, you may:
- Ask for a copy of your personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask that eligible information be erased.
- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies.
Send a request through the Contact Us page. A request about an official Butler County record must go to the government custodian under the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 through 45-223, because this site does not own that record.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as practices or requirements change. The updated version takes effect when posted here with a new effective date.
