Terms & Conditions

Using Butler County Busted Mugshots means that you accept these terms. If you do not agree with every condition below, do not use the site or its tools.

This privately owned site is not affiliated with Butler County, Kansas, or any government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides private-investigation or consumer-reporting services. Information and tools may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Nature of the Service

Butler County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource. It stores no official jail, booking, court, or corrections records. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a document with a public office.

The service points visitors toward official Butler County and Kansas record resources and may connect them with third-party research tools. A link or referral does not turn the destination into part of this site.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the site responsibly and lawfully. You must not:

  • Violate any local, state, or federal law.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone.
  • Make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content.
  • Attempt to enter systems or areas without authorization.
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools.
  • Disrupt access, performance, or use by other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We and our advertising partners do not supply background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or eligibility screening. You agree not to use any content or linked result for:

  • Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions.
  • Tenant selection, housing, or lease decisions.
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premiums.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other decision governed by the FCRA.

Outside Resources

Links may lead to sheriff and jail pages, Kansas court or corrections systems, legal-aid resources, federal locators, and outside search services. We do not endorse or control their content, privacy practices, terms, accuracy, or availability. Review each destination’s rules before using it.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty concerning:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or currentness.
  • Continuous or uninterrupted availability.
  • Freedom from errors, bugs, or security flaws.
  • The scope or quality of partner search results.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office or another government agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent Kansas law permits, the site, its owners, and its partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, reliance on, or inability to use the site.

Your Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Content

Unless another owner is identified, the site’s text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Butler County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or republish protected material without written permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

Ending or Limiting Access

We may suspend, restrict, or end access to all or part of the site at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice.

Kansas Governing Law

Kansas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Kansas. References to public access under the Kansas Open Records Act do not alter these private terms.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
